What People are Saying…

“Have you heard it this last week? It started as a whisper and got louder until Wednesday.
Namaste ……… Namaste ……… Namaste ……… Namaste …… Namaste …..
Namaste (I bow to you), ending with Gabriela’s Call to Action to help save Glowing Flame Yoga. Consider how difficult that was for her to ask for help to save her dream when for years her purpose and intent was to help others (us) capture our dreams of a better way to live.
My body shape is more like Terrance Mann (James Earl Jones) than Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) in the movie Field of Dreams, I wear suspenders like Terrance and wire-rim glasses, I drive a 12 year old F150 Pickup instead of a VW Microbus, and live 1,500 miles from the GFY Studio of Dreams – just 8 miles from Vancouver BC. But I heard the whisper and responded by enrolling in her first On-line class, the class that the Eagle visited.
When I took the class yesterday it was like time travel. Back ten or more years to the first time I was in Gabriela’s yoga class, a stark storefront on Old Golden Road where she’d close the venetian blinds for privacy, where I was awestruck by how she could hold the Warrior III pose without a visible shudder or shake while describing (it seemed for minutes) how we could find our inner mental and emotional strengths and Self. I couldn’t even hold Tree pose for 10 seconds without shaking and putting my foot down.
Each session it got easier for me and I attended her classes as often as I could in Arvada and Golden until I moved to Washington in 2017. And I eventually transformed to where my focus was breath and meditation, and the poses almost became secondary. After I moved my interest paled and I practiced less and less, until yesterday when the memories came rushing back. I was, again, struggling to hold poses during the on-line class, but know that will get easier if I practice. And I looked for that mysterious book that Gabriella always laid on the floor in front of her when she read the lesson of that day’s practice. There was no book in that class! I wonder if it was always a ruse, was simply a book of blank pages with all of the words just flowing from her heart. It doesn’t really matter whether the book was real, does it, because the words were true and sincere …..
I have committed to recapturing the bliss that Yoga had provided for those years in West Denver. It’s too far to commute, obviously, but all I need is my laptop and a mat to use the on-line classes.
It’s time for us to step out of the field of tall corn and onto the mat at GFY. Bring your partners, your neighbors, your kids, your parents, aunts and uncles with you to experience how we can find the best version of ourselves. If you can’t attend more sessions, ask her how else you can help with her Studio of Dreams. And how about this – November 1st is the Dia de Muertos celebration, a very special event for her. Be there!!
Namaste to you, Gabriela. And thank you!
(And Yogis--- stream Field of Dreams this weekend if you can and consider how the world would be lessened without Ray’s baseball field …… or Gabriela’s studio).“

“Glowing Flame Yoga is wonderfully therapeutic! The instructor, Gabriella, is amazing and hits all the key elements for an exceptional yoga experience. 1) She’s gorgeous! It is inspiring to watch her beauty immersed with her agility, strength and coordination. 2) Gabriella brings her high level of intelligence to her practice in a way that is welcoming. The way she teaches makes you feel better than how you arrived. Gabriella has an elite athletic resume and knows the human anatomy, consequently she has the skill set to guide your awareness to your own body so that YOU UNDERSTAND how to seek optimal alignment. 3) Her yoga sessions always start and end with a positive meditation to improver your person, as well as statements of gratitude towards nature and our environment.. In the background, she plays music and you feel like you’ve left reality for an hour and entered into a Zen yoga retreat. You will leave feeling stronger, like you just had an excellent workout, but you will also leave feeling exceedingly refreshed and invigorated.”

“I have been practicing with Gabriela going on 3 years now. In terms of technique and knowledge of yoga and the physical body she is always very detailed and creates beautiful practices that always leave me renewed. Her classes always include messages of positive presence. She will push you to grow as a human and a yogi. For me personally she has taught me how to strengthen my mind through breath and I grow stronger with every class I take from her. She is always evolving and learning new skills and she brings them to the mat for her students. She truly supports her students with her whole heart and is committed to the community she has built around her. I have been in awe of her determination and solid earth teachings always but the pandemic brought out an even deeper level in her as she held her students up during the most chaotic of times. She is an absolute light. Drop in and support her- you won’t regret yoga with Gabriela. 5 Stars Always!”

“I have been practicing yoga for most of my life and have even completed my own YTT back in 2018. That being said, good teachers are hard to come by. Due to personal reasons, I had found myself lost and drifting from my practice in the last couple of years. So, finding Gabriela was like a breath of fresh air. She always takes the time to check in with her students who seem to need a little extra care and listens when a student tells her they need extra attention on a particular area. Her ability to take that feed back and adjust her sequencing with seemingly no effort is a testament to her talent as a teacher. She is utterly inspiring and brings warmth to every class. Something that has been particularly needed in the last year. She also always seems to know just the right things that need to be said and align with what I am experiencing in my life personally. As many others have said, she is truly a gift and I thank her for bringing me back to my practice both physically and spiritually.”

“Hey Gabriela, I’ve been meaning to send you a message for a while now. How are things, how are you doing? I managed to broke my ankle about a month ago 🤦🏻♀️ I slipped on black ice while walking and apparently it was a hard fall. Anyway, all is good now had the surgery and now I’m walking with a boot. Just realized how many yoga poses helped me guide through this, its amazing. I was able to balance on my left feet without the crutches easily, and now all the physical therapy moves they are showing me are familiar. They showed me today something called dome shape or whatever and I was telling them come on this is called activating your arch 😂 Its amazing how much you helped me and still helping me, and I just wanted to thank you again for everything 🙏🏻 you are an amazing teacher 💜 I’ll get my second covid shot soon and as soon as the doctor clears me for yoga, I’ll come to your studio, and hopefully give you a big hug, or remote big hug. Miss you 😘 ”

“Gabriela has impacted my life since I started taking her classes. I took yoga for exercise and she unveiled a whole other aspect of spirituality and healing and love. Physically I have stayed injury free through my ski seasons. I coach skiing and I ski hard and I credit staying healthy to the training I get through her classes. Her knowledge of human physiology is amazing. Spiritually I am much more grounded and open. What she teaches keeps me sane in a crazy world. I am forever grateful for her guidance and look forward to studying under her for many years to come. I knew from day one she was my teacher and I'm blessed to have found her. In light.”

“I’ve practiced with Gabriela for 3 years, and she’s one of the most knowledgeable, authentic, and nurturing yoga teachers I’ve ever met. She crafts each class with heart & inspiration universally-felt by anyone who attends. She is supportive of each student in their individual practice, and is gifted with natural warm & energy that makes everyone feel comfortable in class. Golden Flame Yoga is a genuine reflection of her soul, and this community is lucky to have a healer like Gabriela. If you’re coming to your mat for the first time, or a well-seasoned yogi, you owe it to yourself to check out her classes -- they'll change your life.”

“I love Gabriela! She is very attentive with her students’ individual needs. I met her about a year after my baby was born and I still wasn’t happy with my body. I had been doing yoga during my pregnancy and fell out of practice when baby came. She is very knowledgeable in pre and post-natal fitness and seems to know exactly what I need each class. I can fit into my pre-preggo jeans again! Not to mention the relief I get from stress and negativity that manifest in daily life. Positive vibes only ✌️ 🙏 🧘♀️”
